ROAD RATING
The Road Commission has adopted a road rating system as an Asset Management tool. By using a 1-10 scale, inspections are done bi-annually to determine the condition of the road so that proper maintenance can be completed at the right time.

POLICIES OF THE TUSCOLA COUNTY ROAD COMMISSION
The ROAD POLICY lists the varying tasks of maintaining a road system and how the cost is shared between the Township and the Road Commission.
ROAD PROCEDURES ACCESS MANAGEMENT GUIDELINES
The above procedure is a supplement to the Road Policy. It goes into more detail on private development of a roadway, placing residential and commercial driveways.
LOCAL ROAD IMPROVEMENT AND MAINTENANCE & ALLOWANCE POLICY
The Road Commission participates financially with the Townships on local road construction and maintenance through an allowance. Road work is divided into four categories, and the policy explains the funding participation with each type of work.
